December Newsletter
PTO Monthly Newsletter
December 2024
In the first 1/3 of the school year the PTO has been hard at work fundraising, planning community events, organizing the school library, creating a new school website, and opening a school store. We are thrilled to finally have a new school name and to become the Worcester Dual Language (WorDL) PTO! Find ways you can join us and get involved here. We also have a new facebook page and instagram account.
Help with Winter Teacher Appreciation
Right before winter break the PTO gives the educators, staff and bus drivers a little show of appreciation with some food and raffling off some prizes. If you’d like to contribute you can sign up for food or raffle items, or give a donation to the teacher appreciation fund.
Sign up to donate food or raffle items here.

The library will open in January!
We are excited to share that the school library will open to students the week of January 13. When classes visit the library students will have the opportunity to check out a book
🚨URGENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!🚨
The library committee is in need of volunteers to help run our library. If you can commit to at least an hour the same time every week, please consider signing up! Elementary libraries receive no funding from the district, so our library is completely volunteer-led and relies on parents to make it run. Here’s the volunteer sign up form.
Holiday Concert Basket Raffle
We will have baskets to raffle off during the holiday concert on December 20. We’ll have hand made quilts, WooSox tickets, restaurant gift cards, and scratch tickets just to name a few! Tickets are $1 each or 12 for $10, so be sure to bring your cash!
School Spiritwear
If you’d like to order school spirit wear for the holidays be sure you place your order by December 10! https://worcesterdualpto.org/schoolstore
Committee Updates
The PTO has reorganized into a committee model, and committees work in different areas such as events, fundraising, hospitality and the library. The commitment is about an hour or two a month. If you’d like to sign up for a committee you can do that here. Click the link for more detailed descriptions of the committees.
